I developed this recipe in honor of my Iraqi born husband who loves mamoul (klecheh), but dislikes chocolate chip cookies hence my signature brown butter mamoul cookies was born. Made with dates, walnuts, and a touch of cardamom, a perfect balance of east meets west. If you like prefer dates over chocolate, this is the cookie for you.
